OINTMENT

Ofloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic that helps eliminate susceptible bacteria by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication. Clotrimazole is an antifungal agent that inhibits fungal cell membrane synthesis, thereby controlling fungal infections. Fluocinolone Acetonide is a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation, redness, swelling, and itching associated with infected skin conditions. Para Chloro Meta Cresol acts as an antimicrobial preservative that helps maintain formulation stability and supports antimicrobial protection.

Mechanism

Ofloxacin
Inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, thereby preventing bacterial DNA replication and leading to bacterial cell death.
Fluocinolone Acetonide
Acts as a corticosteroid that suppresses inflammatory mediators and reduces redness, itching, swelling, and irritation.
Clotrimazole Inhibits ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, resulting in disruption of fungal cell membrane integrity and fungal cell death.
Para Chloro Meta Cresol
Functions as an antimicrobial preservative that helps maintain microbiological stability of the formulation.
